The commercials you hear on the radio for Dewars are usually those for the Dewars 12, a blend of whiskies which is aged, you guessed it, 12 years. However, after being haggled by a friend to try Dewars I went out and bought one of each, a Dewars 12 and A bottle of Dewars white label.
I was expecting the Dewars 12 to be the better of the 2 , since it is more expensive and supposedly better overall. Now, I have to warn you I’m not a whiskey connoisseur , nor did I sleep in a Holiday Inn express last night. But I know what I like and Dewars white label was better than Dewars 12. Dewars 12 was a rough around the edges, and put up a real fight going down.
The Dewars white label on the other hand was smooth as silk and went well with a Macanudo Maduro.
In the end, If I want an expensive whiskey I’ll stick with Pinch.
